Right now San Mateo County Parks only allows dog walking on 8% of their trails (up from 5% with the Department’s June 2019 launch of its on leash pilots at Junipero Serra and Coyote Point county parks). Compare this to Santa Clara County, Marin County, and the East Bay which respectively allow dog walking on 79%, 77%, and 91% of their parks/trails.1

If you are a dog enthusiast and you feel passionate about responsible dog ownership, trail access, informed politicians, and having a dog-friendly community around us, we want to meet you! We are looking for volunteers who can help in a variety of areas. You are welcome to join in wherever and whenever you can.
